We were friends around 1978 and into the early 80's. Julie, Fiona and myself used to hang around together at weekends. I went to a different school to Julie and Fiona so our girly get togethers usually centred around weekends where we would egg each other on to be brave enough to go into The Vine pub and see if we could get away with ordering a drink (although we quite often had a bitter lemon anyway!) or we went to cricket club, or rugby club discos together, or we mooched about at each other's houses playing LP's and deciding on which concerts we should get tickets for.

I always remember Julie as just being a giggle and so laid back and easy going. She was always such a smiler and used to chuckle and giggle at whatever we were doing.

I moved away from Stanmore to get married in 1984 so I lost touch with Julie and Fiona as we were all doing different things, but we all got in touch again a few years ago and we talked about a reunion which sadly we just never got around to actually doing.
